Riot Games annonserade ett speciellt 2-dagarsevenemang Season 2023: Kickoff – evenemanget kommer att äga rum från 10 till 11 januari

Riot Games has announced Season 2023: Kickoff, a special event held before the start of the main games of the competitive season. The event will be held from 10 to 11 January in the format of a continuous marathon.

For Season 2023: Kickoff, 9 title regions will be attracted: LCS, LEC, LCK, LPL, LJL, CBLOL, LLA, PCS, and VCS. During the broadcast, there will be matches between mixed teams from different regions, and when one of the regions goes on pause, it will be replaced by another.

Season 2023 format: Kickoff

• All professional teams in each of the 9 leagues will send players to participate in the kickoff event. Each region determines how teams are formed, so you may see different team building methods in different regions.
• Best-of-3 format in Summoner's Rift (LPL will use Best-of-1, Single Elimination format)
• No champion bans: all champions are fair game.
• No champion replays: once a champion is played, it is removed from the pool! (LPL will be slightly different as more games will be played)
• Each winning pro team will be able to create an emote with the help of our designers, which will be added to League of Legends.

• 1:30-5am PT: LCK
• 5-8am PT: VCS
• 8-11 a.m. PT: CBLOL
• 11am-2pm PT: LCS
• 2-9 pm PT: Selected broadcast

• 2-5 a.m. PT: LPL
• 5-8am PT: PCS
• 8-11 a.m. PT: LEC
• 11am-2pm PT: LLA
• 2-8 pm PT: Selected broadcast

Season 2023 Kickoff games will take place on patch 12.23. As part of the Riot Games event, most likely, they will announce the start dates for the professional leagues.
