The update impacts both attackers and defenders, with several operators receiving targeted buffs designed to increase their effectiveness in real match scenarios.

Operator Balance Changes

The Y11S1.1 patch introduces multiple adjustments to operator abilities, primarily focused on improving responsiveness and utility:

  • Flores — Reduced delay after drone detonation from 2 seconds to 1 second, allowing faster follow-up during pushes
  • Iana — Gemini Replicator duration increased from 15 to 18 seconds, improving intel-gathering potential
  • Jäger — Active Defense cooldown reduced from 10 to 9 seconds, strengthening anti-projectile capabilities
  • Nøkk — HEL Presence Reduction duration increased from 10 to 13 seconds, enabling more aggressive flanking
  • Rook — Armor Pack HP bonus increased from 20 to 25, boosting team survivability
  • Wamai — Mag-NET activation time reduced from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds, making gadget deployment more reactive

I think these buffs are clearly aimed at increasing the tempo of matches, especially by making utility usage faster and more impactful in coordinated plays.

Weapon Adjustments

In addition to operator tweaks, Ubisoft has also slightly increased the lethality of specific weapons:

  • M12 (Caveira) — Damage increased from 40 to 42
  • POF-9 (Sens) — Damage increased from 35 to 37

These changes should make both operators more viable in direct engagements, particularly in close-quarters situations where every point of damage matters.

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

The patch also addresses a wide range of gameplay issues, improving overall stability and user experience:

  • Fixed multiple problems related to drones and surveillance systems
  • Resolved gadget inconsistencies affecting operators like Wamai, Gridlock, and Flores
  • Corrected incorrect movement speed while prone
  • Fixed visual bugs involving smoke, explosions, and textures
  • Addressed control and interface issues

Additionally, Ubisoft resolved several critical bugs tied to recently added content, including mechanics related to Solid Snake abilities.

I see this update as more of a quality-of-life patch rather than a meta-defining one, but these kinds of fixes are essential for maintaining competitive integrity.

What This Means for Players

While Y11S1.1 doesn’t introduce major new features, it delivers meaningful improvements to operator performance and game stability. The buffs to key operators and adjustments to weapon balance should help refine the current meta, especially in competitive play.

With upcoming tournament stages on the horizon, these changes arrive at an important time, ensuring a more consistent and polished gameplay experience for both casual and professional players.
