Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 kommer inte att innehålla clownaktiga och sluddriga skins

The upcoming new installment of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 4, developed by Infinity Ward, appears to be making a strong effort to bring the franchise back to its roots—a goal that the studio representatives have also confirmed. This revival will not only focus on realistic gameplay and an intense storyline but also address a common point of criticism in recent years: the out-of-place skins in the online mode.

Responding to a fan's post hinting that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s season 2 would feature numerous clown skins, the developers confirmed that they have taken all previous mistakes into account. They assured that the upcoming game will stay true to the franchise's core themes and won’t include such skins, aiming to preserve the atmosphere and maintain a more grounded and realistic feel, as you can see below:

“We got the feedback. No BS. This is all about staying true to Modern Warfare. No clowny skins for launch and seasons beyond.”

Recently, the first detailed spoilers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 have also surfaced, confirming that the game will offer a perspective on the story from various angles—through the eyes of a new character, Private Park, as well as the legendary Captain Price.

Also, uring the recent Xbox Games Showcase, Infinity Ward revealed gameplay footage of the DMZ mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 —a mode the developers are heavily investing in and seemingly aiming to turn into a "game within a game." Additionally, a Call of Duty movie is in the works, directed by Peter Berg (known for Hancock, Battleship, and Mile 22), with its premiere scheduled for June 30, 2028.
