Elden Ring Nightreign lägger till tvåspelarsamarbete och massor av korrigeringar i patch 1.02
Elden Ring Nightreign’s big update 1.02 is now live, and it delivers exactly what fans have been asking for. The headline change is the new Duo Expeditions system, which officially enables two-player co-op — something that wasn’t available at launch. The patch also brings major improvements to the UI, inventory filters, and Relic management, plus a long list of bug fixes. FromSoftware continues to respond to community feedback with quick, focused updates.
Originally scheduled to arrive earlier, patch 1.02 was delayed due to a tsunami warning in Japan. After a short period of server maintenance, the update is now live across all platforms.
The most talked-about addition is Duo Expeditions. Until now, Nightreign supported only single-player and three-player co-op. Many players wanted to explore the game with just one other person, and now they can. When launching an Expedition, you can now select two players, and the game will automatically adjust balance and difficulty based on the new party size.
The UI has been updated to reflect this change. The old Expedition Type field has been removed and replaced with a simple “Number of Players” setting. It’s now much easier to understand how your co-op setup will function.

Another major update comes to the Relic Effect filter screen. You can now filter Relics more precisely, including finding ones that have multiple effects under a single condition. This is useful for high-level players who manage complex builds and don’t want to scroll endlessly. The number of Relic presets you can save has been increased from the previous limit to 100, giving you much more room to experiment.
You can also favorite or sell Relics straight from the Rewards menu, skipping several unnecessary steps. This streamlines post-battle inventory management and makes the entire loop of collecting, optimizing, and selling Relics far faster than before.
Preset management got another usability boost. When viewing all Presets, the list now puts the ones used by your currently selected character at the top. This sounds minor, but it cuts down on time spent scrolling through dozens of old setups. If you rotate between characters a lot, this change matters.
There are also some improvements to vendor UI. The Small Jar Bazaar and Collector Signboard now have tabbed interfaces, helping you browse categories without confusion. Random Limveld merchants also now include a “Detailed Description” section in their shop menus, so you don’t need to guess what an item does before buying it.
A cinematic change was made to the Night Aspect boss fight. You can now skip part of the post-defeat cutscene, which makes replays a little less time-consuming, especially helpful if you’re farming or helping others in co-op.
Patch 1.02 also kicks off the second cycle of Everdark Sovereign content. The updated version of Augur is now available, which means new rewards and tweaks for players diving into that content again.
As always, FromSoftware packed this patch with bug fixes. Several combat bugs were addressed, such as animations not triggering properly or special attacks not consuming resources like FP. Others were much more technical, such as characters falling through terrain or not respawning correctly after death. A few specific bosses also got adjustments, including Caligo, the Draconic Tree Sentinel, and Adel, Baron of Night.
A long list of system-level fixes were also included, many of which improve stability or prevent crashes under rare conditions. One standout example is a fix to stop players from duplicating dropped items — a known exploit that could have serious effects on the economy in multiplayer sessions.
Other adjustments include improved display of character effects, corrected item interactions, and bug fixes for several Relic and merchant systems. The patch also included graphical, audio, and performance improvements across all platforms.
FromSoftware has been clear that these updates are part of an ongoing support plan for Nightreign. Patch 1.01 focused on improving single-player pacing and expedition matchmaking. With 1.02 now adding duo support and much better UI tools, the game is feeling more accessible and customizable than it was at launch.
There’s still no official word on whether a larger expansion or content drop is coming soon, but the Everdark Sovereign cycles suggest more endgame-level tweaks are planned. For now, 1.02 gives players plenty to work with — and two-player Expeditions open the door to new strategies and play styles that were simply off-limits before.
