One of many titles slated for a 2026 release that still lacks a firm launch date is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy—a prequel to the A Plague Tale series developed by Asobo Studio. A recent Amazon leak may have revealed that the game is just a couple of months away from launch.

A user on the X social media noticed that Amazon Australia may have accidentally leaked the release date for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. Specifically, the game's PlayStation 5 store page indicates an August 27 release date, as you can check out below:

Could be a placeholder but does seem oddly specific.

The next entry in the Plague Tale series is coming later this year.

At the moment, neither Asobo Studio nor the game's publisher, Focus Interactive, has responded to the potential leak of the release date for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. However, the developers recently published a blog post stating that the game's release "will take place soon."

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a prequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem, set 15 years before the original title. We will play for a younger version of Sofia—an important character from Requiem, where we find out more about her childhood, when she lived in a bandit camp led by her father, Alec. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will focus more on action and combat than on stealth and escaping rats. Sophie will have melee weapons at her disposal and will also be able to parry attacks.
