Royston Cinemo presenterade en ny trailer för Project Madras – GTA-analog som utspelar sig i Indien

Despite the hype around GTA 6, other game studios are not afraid to create their own counterparts to the Rockstar Games franchise. One such example is Royston Cinemo, which revealed details of its ambitious title, Project Madras, at the recently held Insider Gaming Showcase.

The main difference of Project Madras from its predecessors is the setting, as the events of the game take place in India, specifically in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It has been confirmed that the game will be completely open-world, and during an interview with Insider Gaming, one of the game's creators, Royston Cinemo, revealed new details.

The developers aim to create the most realistic version of the city of Chennai, including a realistic model of its residents' behavior. Players of Project Madras wil be able to freely explore every corner of the game map, which will also be filled with various side quests and entertainment. Story details are not yet revealed, but Royston Cinemo teased that the main character will have to balance between criminal networks and secret government missions.

In addition, the presence of a combat system in Project Madras, allowing the use of environmental elements, has been confirmed, as well as the ability to use various types of transportation to move around the world - from motorcycles to trucks and boats. Street racing will also be added to the game.

The release date of Project Madras still remains unknown, as the game is still in an early stage of development. Nevertheless, the developers have confirmed that they plan to conduct the first testing in the near future, but it is not specified in what format it will take place. The project is announced for PC, and its page is available on Steam.
