Allt som Ubisoft tillkännagav och avslöjade på Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026

Ubisoft was one of the studios that made several announcements during yesterday’s Opening Night Live, which kicked off Gamescom. Of the three games shown at the event, two were full-fledged announcements, and one of those two turned out to be a pleasant surprise for the studio’s longtime fans.

Perhaps the biggest announcement from Ubisoft—and one of the most unexpected of the entire Opening Night Live event—was Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake, an enhanced version of the classic game of the same name released in 1999. The studio unveiled a debut trailer, which confirmed that the remake will feature updated 3D graphics powered by the Snowdrop game engine, as well as fully free camera control instead of a fixed one, making movement more comfortable. Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake will also include all the original campaigns and the expansions Armageddon’s Blade and The Shadow of Death. The game is scheduled for release in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Additionally, Ubisoft has released the original game on Steam; previously, it was only available on Ubisoft Connect.

Ubisoft also unveiled a new game set in the Rainbow Six universe, subtitled Tactics. As suggested by the headline, the game is a turn-based tactical strategy title similar to the XCOM series when it comes to the gameplay mechanics. It will be a purely single-player experience, with no multiplayer or microtransactions. As for known details, Rainbow Six Tactics will feature 15 operators from Rainbow Six Siege, as well as Bishop, the director of the Rainbow unit and the protagonist of the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas duology. The game is scheduled for release in 2027 (PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5).

Finally, Ubisoft’s last announcement at Opening Night Live isn’t quite as significant; it concerns Rayman Legends Retold—a remake of the original 2013 game, which was announced this June during State of Play. The developers showcased a music level featuring the famous “Macarena.” Rayman Legends Retold will be released on October 1 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
