NBA 2K27—the latest installment in the basketball simulator series—will be officially released at the beginning of next month. However, the game is already available in early access for those who pre-ordered it, along with the features of NBA 2K27’s first season, as confirmed by the developers. As it turns out, the game will likely also feature a collaboration with the most anticipated project of the year—GTA 6.

NBA 2K has released a trailer on social media to mark the launch of the first season, which teases an upcoming collaboration with GTA 6. At the end of the video, we see the scene transform into a game setting styled after Vice City—complete with palm trees, similar fonts, a matching color palette, and even the sound of police sirens in the background. Given that both projects are owned by Take-Two and that GTA 6—as revealed by an earlier gameplay leak— will also feature a basketball shot mini-game, a collaboration seems more than likely.

2K teases a crossover with Rockstar Games and GTA 6 coming to NBA 2K27 Season 3, which is expected to be in late November/early December.

We should expect more of these collabs, since GTA 6 has its own version of the NBA and has playable basketball.

As mentioned above, the third season of NBA 2K27 should start in November or December this year, which fits perfectly with the timeline for a potential collaboration, given the November release of GTA 6. This is also supported by the fact that the game’s second season will begin on October 16.

As for GTA 6, the game’s official presentation—Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look—will take place today on Netflix. According to the BBC, it will last 30 minutes, and rumors suggest that players will be shown various gameplay mechanics.
