Netflix held the official premiere of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look—a new look at GTA 6—which lasted 26 minutes and in which Rockstar Games finally revealed gameplay from the most anticipated game of 2026, unveiled a variety of mechanics, and provided a glimpse at several missions.

So far, the trailer hasn’t appeared on Rockstar’s official platforms, but clips taken directly from the Netflix presentation have already started popping up. Rockstar chose an unconventional narrative approach; the focus was on several missions in GTA 6 at once, and in between them, the developers showcased various in-game activities, dialogues, and setups leading up to those very missions.

The first part of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look centered on a mission to retrieve drugs from one of the hideouts. But as is often the case, the mission doesn’t go according to plan. It’s at this very moment that we get a look at how the gunplay works in GTA 6, as well as the appearance of characters previously seen in trailers and screenshots.

Next, we see Jason and Lucia in an apartment, rather than in Jason’s hideout, which was previously shown in the trailer. Here, you can interact with the environment—watch TV or drink a beer—and then the two protagonists head out on their next mission. What immediately catches the eye is the mini-map with 3D objects, the incredible level of detail, and the draw distance; then we’re shown various activities you’ll be able to engage in. These include wrestling, various types of racing, diving, kayaking, riding electric scooters, using virtual reality headsets, and much more, as you can check out a more detailed look below:

Various open-world activities are available in GTA 6, including:

• Mini-golf
• Kayaking
• Scuba diving
• Gym work
• Parachute jumping
• Going to the Zoo/Studying animals
• Doomscrolling through a social media feed

Most of the time, the focus is on the heists involving Jason and Lucia—it seems they’ll play an important role in the gameplay and storyline. At the end of the video, we see part of a mission: Jason and Lucia are hired as bodyguards for one of the company’s open branches, but even here things don’t go according to plan, as a group of armed men storms the building, attempting to kidnap the key figure. Here we again see gameplay from both Jason’s and Lucia’s perspectives; despite being quite far apart, they try to work together.

Even though there was a massive leak of GTA 6 gameplay last week, it seems Rockstar has still exceeded fans’ expectations, and the game looks pretty much exactly as everyone imagined it—incredibly massive, polished to perfection, and packed with a huge amount of content—and this is still far from the final version.
