Jason Schreier förutspår att God of War Laufey kan släppas i februari eller mars 2027

While fans around the world are buzzing about the latest news on the upcoming pre-order for GTA 6, renowned Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier decided to weigh in. On his YouTube channel, he posted a new video discussing how other studios are being forced to delay their game releases to avoid clashing with the potential competition from GTA 6. The video also paid special attention to another highly anticipated project.

We’re talking about God of War Laufey, the new game from Santa Monica Studio announced at Summer Game Fest. While the exact release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, several insiders—including Schreier— have teased that it could launch in the first half of 2027. In a recent video, the gaming journalist suggested that the release might happen as early as February or March next year, meaning we could be looking at another month packed with major game launches.

As is well known, thanks in large part to GTA 6, September and October of this year are packed with major releases. In September, potential hits like Marvel's Wolverine, Control Resonant, Silent Hill: Townfall, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword will debut. Then, in October, titles such as Gears of War: E-Day, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Phantom Blade Zero, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and others will launch. Meanwhile, in November, GTA 6 will face competition from Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered, Gothic 3 Classic, and Barbie Rewind.

February 2027 is already shaping up to be a packed month for major game releases. It has been announced that Fable, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Metro 2039, and Persona 4 Revival will all launch during this month. Additionally, Lords of the Fallen II was recently delayed to the first quarter of 2027. If God of War Laufey also joins this lineup, players can expect not only a likely hit to their wallets but also a wide selection of potentially high-quality AAA titles.
