Global lansering av Sonic Rumble försenad då SEGA prioriterar långsiktig kvalitet

Sonic Rumble, SEGA’s upcoming multiplayer party game set in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, has once again been delayed. Originally slated for Winter 2024, and then rescheduled for Spring 2025, the game’s global release has now been postponed indefinitely.

In an official update, SEGA stated:

“We want to create a game that evolves and stays fun for months and years to come. To build the kind of high-quality, long-lasting Sonic game our players deserve, we need more time.”

🌀 What is Sonic Rumble?

Co-developed with Rovio (Angry Birds), Sonic Rumble is the franchise’s first multiplayer party game, pitting up to 32 players against one another in chaotic, fast-paced matches. Whether solo or in squads of four, players will race, survive, and collect rings across zany obstacle courses inside a toy world crafted by Dr. Eggman.

🎮 Game Modes Include:

• Run – A frantic race to the finish line
• Survival – Stay in the game as others are eliminated
• Ring Battle – Collect as many rings as possible before time runs out

🦔 Playable characters include Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Dr. Eggman. The game blends iconic Sonic music, vibrant visuals, and dynamic level design to deliver a party-style experience reminiscent of Fall Guys.

🚀 Launch Postponed, But Pre-Registration Is Booming

Despite the delay, pre-registration remains open on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, with over 1.4 million players already signed up.

The original global launch was planned for May 2, 2025, but SEGA confirmed the delay via a blog post just weeks before release:
